In an effort to allow users to submit files with new messages/chats, I'm trying to add a file input type to the chat/ticket client and the field does not show up on the chat overlay. I've made it required and can see it showing up on the ticket form but I am not able to get it working on the overlay. Is this possible?

I am able to add text fields to the overlay chat box.

Using:
Livezilla 5.4.0.1
Apache 2.2
Amazon Linux
Windows and Web clients

Thanks,
Josh

Hi Josh,

You can't start a chat with a file upload. However, you can upload files once the chat has been started and accepted by an operator.

The file upload login field only works for the leave message / create ticket page.

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to change that.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the response.

Is it possible to include a file upload to leave an offline message using the overlay chat function / leave an offline message? I have been unable to get this to work.

Thanks,
Josh

No, I am sorry.

In LiveZilla 5.x. file uploads are available for the external chat window only.

We plan to add this particular feature to the onsite chat widget in version 6.x.
