HTML such as object tag can not be shown in transcripts email.

So, Can you please send chat transcripts email FROM CHAT ARCHIVE by default? IF so, it will solve this problem perfectly.

Hi,

I am really sorry but this is not possible. Chat transcripts are plain text and there's no interpretation of HTML or Javascript code.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi, Patrick Keil,

So, Can you send the chat transcripts from chat_archive's html BLOB in LiveZilla database? There are 2 columns, one is html, another is plain. Obviously, the html column stores all chat transcripts in html, it can be set to send chat email by default. Please do something, and, thanks a lot.

So, Can you plan to bring this into line with the next next updated?

OR,

Add an option for choosing html chat transcripts for sending chat transcripts?

Thanks.

We don't have plans for this at this time. Plain text emails usually work much better and the additional benefit of HTML emails is rather low.

I am sorry.

Has this changed? I see the options for HTML and Plain Text ... However when I try to add html elements into the HTML box it does not seem to be actually using them. Still showing as plain text when I get the email.

Hi,

Yes, you can now send HTML emails.

Default is still plaintext only but when you add something to your groups E-Mail HTML template it will send a multipart email including HTML and the ticket response composer editor will show more formatting options.

Hope that helps.
