On the database setup screen for 1&1's website :

  • The MySQL database may not be used for log evaluation operations, ad clicks, chat systems, banner rotations, or similar applications putting extreme loads on the database under any circumstances.

Will using LiveZilla be putting "extreme load" on the database?

That totally depends on the amount of data that needs to be processed. If you have 10k visitors per day, then yes. If it's just a small website, then no.

Your hosting package seems not be meant to use it for chat services. I would recommend an upgrade to avoid trouble with your host, they can surely offer you a proper solution.

Thanks.
