Do you have to setup a cronjob for the incoming email to work? I would think so just based on how php runs on servers but it doesn't talk about having to set that up it just asks what interval you want. Maybe it works in a way I can't think of but just double checking? If it doesn't require a cronjob how is the code running on the server at each interval then?

Thanks,
Danny

Thank you for that url. What is the point of the option within the control panel about how often to download emails then if that doesn't actually apply since you have to control it through the cronjob?

Cronjobs are optional and even if you call the cronjob more frequently, it will still respect the download interval.

The idea behind the API is to call time consuming operations in background.

Cheers.
