Hallo,

Hi Michael,

Please understand that the board language is english. If you need support in german, please create a ticket on our website.

The features your are asking for have been moved into the "Widget API" that allows better integration into your website or cookie widget.

Oh, okay. Then I will try to answer with my bad english. I use a technical translator.
Before, the option was easier to handle. Now I can not understand how to do that. Too difficult.

Here's a basic tracking opt-out link based on the widget api:

<a href="#" onclick="LiveZilla.OptOutTracking();">Deactivate tracking for me</a>

As you can see, there's nothing complicated about it.

Hello, unfortunately that's not so easy, at least it seems...

Tried with:
1) a previously generated link (static and dynamic code both)
2) even a new created link (that's the so called overlay widget V2)

API mode for the button/widget enabled into the settings.
Then, even if you call the livezilla javascript without async and defer....

on js console you have:
OverlayChatWidgetV2 is not defined

obviously if you don't enable the API mode, also the LiveZilla is not defined, but that's another matter...

so, if you enable the API mode, at the moment the widget is not showing, because you need to
OverlayChatWidgetV2.Show();

but that's not working, as already written.

The questions are:
why OverlayChatWidgetV2 is not defined ?
and I think that you should better explain this method because in Europe is important not to set the cookies if the customers don't want to...but at the same time if the customer accepts we need to show the chat widget as usual.

Please, in summary, we need to correctly call the functions:
OverlayChatWidgetV2.Hide();
OverlayChatWidgetV2.Show();
LiveZilla.OptOutCookies();
LiveZilla.OptInCookies();

thank you very much
best regards

Well, other test:
if you choose Opt-In Cookies in the server settings,
it means that at first the cookies are not set.

Ok, but then the widget is not showing.
So, you
OverlayChatWidgetV2.Show();

but it does not behave as in "normal mode", it always open a window, then even if you close it, it doesn't keep the usual balloon/flexi button on the bottom right (example)

if you call the Show it opens that window and nothing...
it shouldn't to only "Show" but to behave as when you don't enter the API mode

is there a lack of some functions or didn't I understand how it works?

So, it should:
the customer has an option: Do you accept the cookies?

NO - you keep as it is now (opt out)
YES - you need to set the cookies
LiveZilla.OptInCookies();

then, the widget must behave as when in normal mode (not API), it has not to necessarily show a chat/ticket window to customer if you don't need and also the button must stay at the chosen position like before on normal mode...

please, is it all clear to you what I mean?
thank you
