Hello!

Is it possible to do LDAP over SSL, or to specify multiple LDAP hosts?

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately no, there's only one LDAP host per LiveZilla server.

Cheers

Gotcha. How about LDAPS? I saw a post from last year saying it was coming, and the temporary workaround was to modify something in "/livezilla/_lib/objects.ldap.inc.php ".

Thanks!

Hi Brandon,

When we researched this last year, we came to the conclusion that LDAPS is just a configuration thing and there's nothing we would need to change in our code.

What changes did you make to /livezilla/_lib/objects.ldap.inc.php ?

Thanks.

I haven't tried changing anything yet, I didn't want to mess anything up. I found a post from last year (https://forums.livez...__fromsearch__1) that says "We plan to add LDAPS in the next service pack. You can modify source code to support LDAPS right away. The reflecting Bind function is located under: /livezilla/_lib/objects.ldap.inc.php".

That was before actually researching the issue. I expected that changes are necessary since the user was asking but it turned out there's nothing we could do to support LDAPS better.

It's all about the host value:

$ldap = ldap_connect("ldaps://localhost");
