The input field configuration has changed

Hi,

I'm having a problem with some clients. After login and using the system for a while, a message appears which read: The input field configuration has changed. Please restart this application.

I tried to change the value on System > Options > Input > Text input control to "Basic" to discard that could be the problem, but the setting goes back to Internet Explorer even after restarting the client as requested.
The client computer OS is Windows 8 and client is 5.4.0.2.

Any hints about this problem?

Hi,

This is a known issue that has been fixed in version 6.x. Please consider an upgrade.

I need to add that the error message you get refers to the server side (customer) input field configuration (see server configuration). The client configuration has nothing to with it.

Hi Patrick,

We have planned to upgrade to 6.x but we're allowed to do it until the next year because of budget administration.
I'll try to fix it on the server side in the meantime as indicated.
