Hello,

I had livezilla running on an older server that the hard drive failed on. I still have a few premium licenses that I reloaded on a new machine and it worked fine for a about a day. Now it seems like they have expired (Backlinks/Startpage)? I'm guessing this has something to do with not being able to deactivate them on the old server first?

Anything I can do here?

Thanks,

Kris

Hi Kris,

I guess you are still using version 3.x, right?

We had to disable the activation of licenses from 3.x Server Admin this morning as some attackers are currently using a security issue in the 3.x activation protocol to massively activate 5.x installations.

Unfortunately, this is a problem with the client side so I doubt that we can bring the backward compatibility for version 3.x. online again.

Yes I am using version 3.3.2.2 right now. I reinstalled it yesterday and it worked, and activated. Today when I logged in it was broken. Is there any possible work around in the mix other than upgrading? I'd like to upgrade it's just not in the budget right now.
