Incoming chat visual but no audio until tab opened in Chrome

Hi,

Webbrowser: Chrome Version 66.0.3359.117 (Official Build) (64-bit) OSX
LiveZilla: Version 7.0.9.2

I've a vague problem. Some of our agents do not get audio alert when an incoming chat is alerted.
The tab in Chrome does show a visual blink of the incoming chat but no audio. until the tab is opened than the sound is headed.

We've looked in all kind of corners of the app including the chat priority, and no client-tight-to-one-agent is also off, but all is set equal as far as we can see.
Still audio is lagging until the tab is activated on chrome.

Since there are no fixes in the latest releases I'm not into upgrading the chatserver since looking at the release notes this problem is not reported.

Any clue's what causes this "silent" problem ?

Hi,

That's a browser feature/limitation. Auto played sounds can be really annoying so browsers tend to mute inactive tabs which is good in general and bad for APPs like ours. I don't know if you can turn this off somehow.

Please consider to use our OSX App where you don't have limitations like this.
