Hi,

If a customer changes his customer data in our shop, the data is successfully transmitted to the chat via pass thru. But, if he has started a chat, no matter when, could be some days ago, data will not be overwritten, even if the overwrite parameter is set to true.

I tried it out in 7.0.8.2, and .4

Is this a bug or works as designed?

kind regards
thomas

Additional information:

it is working if i disable cookies in data privacy. but then we can not detect recurring users and can't get relations betweeen chats, so every visitor is a new visitor...

Hi,

this is a known issue that has been fixed in 7.0.8.6.

Please note the new "overwrite" parameter.

Hi,

In 7.0.8.6 does it work until the customer writes the first message. If cookies are disabled, it works, if cookies are enabled, it does not work for this customer anymore.

Is there any solution?

Info:
i created 4 html pages with 4 sets of data, same onsite chat script.
if no message is send, i can see in the operator console that the data changes, until first message.

Thanks for your feedback, highly appreciated.

I can confirm the problem and we will address this in the next weeks update 7.0.8.7.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. :(
