Hello,

When tickets are created, there's a 12-digit ticket ID generated. Sometimes when we need to reference a ticket ID, we have to pass it internally and to customers over the phone -- it takes a while to say the number and it's more prone to mistakes during transcription.

Is there any way to make this shorter? Maybe a user-definable option?

Hi,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Currently there's no way to reduce the length but we will check if this can be done without affecting stability and security.

If you have time, I would love to hear how shortening the Public ID would affect stability and security.
