Hello,

I try to do the following:
Generate a Text-Link on every product page of my shop.
When following the link, the customer opens a chat window where he can leave a message/ticket.
No problem so far.
As additional information the product name, choosen quantity and choosen options shall be added in a custom input-field.

My first tries with only the product name doesn't work.
For the first product the chat window opens and the product name is filled. For the second product the product name is filled with the name of the first product.

I think it has something to do with the caching of information livezilla does. (Although I disabled the "cookie"-field for the custom field)

Is there any possibility to transfer information to the chat window which changes often in on session?

Kind regards
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

From the FAQ:

Quote

The data pass-thru will only work if the customer didn't already fill in his/her data in the input fields. So the data filled in by the website visitor will always be prioritized.

In other words, Pass-thru works for blank fields and you can't overwrite existing values.

The good news is that we will add a new paramater that will allow you to control this behaviours (overwrite yes/no) in the next update 7.0.8.5.

Cheers.

Perfect. Looking forward to this update.

What's the paramater "cookie" for then?

Hi,
tested the new feature and it works fine, as long the customer don't send any messages.

When the user has sent a message to us the field doesn't get overwritten anymore. Instead the field shows the value used for the message.
