Dear LZ Team,

We noticed that it is always necessary to manually clear the browser cache after each LZ update to avoid issues with the chat widgets etc.. Could you please check if this can be improved so that no manual cache clearing is required?

Thanks a lot.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Caching means not to check if things have changed. If you don't know when things will change, you don't know when to check again. This is a logical problem, either use caching or run up-to-date code. The only solution is not to change the code or not to use static elements (=deactivate caching completely).

However:

1.) This problem occured because we changed a lot in the area of the chat widget. We are done with this yet and the next updates will not require you to clean the cache. So it's not every update as you say.
2.) This mainly affects you as the website administrator who is on the website every day. The majority of your website visitors won't even notice.

Cheers.
