Hello,
I have a problem regarding inviting chats, in my installation:
- it is possible forwarding or inviting a chat between operators of the same group;
- it is possible forwarding but not inviting a chat between operators of different groups.
It is correct or invite must work also between different groups?
I skipped any configuration to do this?
Thanks and regards

Hi,

Both should work.

it is possible forwarding but not inviting a chat between operators of different groups.

I tried that in LiveZilla 7.0.3.0 and it works fine for me. Operator A is in group Y and operator is in group Z.

What error do you get when you try it?

Hello,
no errors, but I do not see the option to invite a operator from a different group.
I have LiveZilla Server Version: 6.1.1.2.
There is some configuration that I could check to assure that all must be working fine?
Thanks and regards.

Hi,

Please update to version 7.x and see if that helps.

Hi. I have upgraded to 7.0.5.0, but still not able to invite operators from different groups.
Here two screenshots as example: I can forward to them (https://ibb.co/egUJ8Q), but not invite (https://ibb.co/cGqQoQ).
I skip something?
Thanks and regards.

Hi,

I did some research and both funtions pretty much do the same.

The only difference I see is the permissions level. Did you check the permissions of the related operators? (User management -> Operator -> Permissions -> Chats)

Hi. Here (https://ibb.co/m4h3pa) the screenshot of operators permissions. It is correct?
I read the changelog of 7.0.5.1, with bugfix "Chat forward list does not show operators". It is related even if I have a problem on inviting?
Anyway I'm updating to 7.0.5.3!!! :)
Thanks and regards

Hi. Problem about inviting is not solved and some users cannot also forward.
Operator permissions I sent are ok?
Thanks and regards

I can't confirm this issue for 7.0.5.3.

Please provide detailed instructions on how to reproduce this.

Permission looks ok but you can still hide groups to operators, you can remove external chat permission to groups, you can configure opening hours, only operators with status online / busy will be shown etc.

Hi. To reproduce:
  • operator A group 1 take a chat;
  • A wants to forward chat to operator B group 2;
  • A clicks on "Actions", "Forward", but sees no operators to forward.
This happens to all operators, all groups.
Now we have the same behavior on invite, but only for some operators/groups (with invite operators sees other groups and operators, but button "Ok" to invite is freezed).
If permissions looks ok, how can I verify questions about hiding groups to operators, removing external chat permissions to groups and so on?

Thanks and regards

Hi. Sorry for stalking :) about it, but, waiting for your test, can you explain me how I can verify options about operators/groups visibility?
Thanks and regards

Group visibility: User Management -> Operator -> Groups
Group opening hours: User Management -> Groups -> Group -> Opening hours
External chat permissions: User Management-> Groups -> Group
Operator status: icon on the left, must be set to online in order to become a forwarding/invitation target. Operators with status away/busy will not be offered

Hi.
I verified, here some screenshots about things you required (I blanked data):
- https://ibb.co/fFOKjk
- https://ibb.co/nLXZH5
- https://ibb.co/eOvAqQ
- we do not use group opening hours;
- target operators were online.
I am in doubt about "Operator is allowed to change target group" and "Operator is allowed to change target operator".
Thanks and regards

What about:

User Management -> Operator -> Permissions -> Chats -> Operator is allowed to join chats

Operators missing this permission will not be shown in the invite dialog.

Hi,
I verified, "Operator is allowed to join chats" is checked with "when invited" options.
I must uncheck the option?
Thanks and regards

"when invited" is a limitation. If you want operators to join in any situation (=even when not invited) you need to uncheck it.

Hi.
I have a synchronization system for users properties.
Usually I stored permissions in permissions field of lz_operators table: also "when invited" flag is stored there?
Thanks and regards

Hi.
I searched and found references in objects.apiv2.inc.php for PermissionSet.
The permission is stored there?
Thanks and regards

Hi.
I solved modifying the PermissionSet string of users.
Now I am waiting for operator testing.
Thanks and regards
