When we had v6, instead of the new 'eye-catcher' we had a line of text saying 'We are online - chat with us'.

There doesn't seem to be an option to have this in v7. Is it possible?

We plan to bring it back in 7.0.3.0 coming next month.

Hi folks,

Is this available yet? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

I found in the change log that the old-style eyecatcher has been launched. I've upgraded to the latest version, however I've tried to find how to enable the v6-style eyecatcher in the link generator, but can't see the setting.

How can I enable the v6-style eyecatcher?

Thanks Patrick,

Unfortunately, that isn't the feature we wanted. The one I'm referring to is like the one in this image I found here (ignore the red highlighted square).
http://alt.netzdinge...ite_offline.jpg

It's a discrete green text strip that sits on the bottom of the screen.

We're not keen on the big bubble in the new version - it covers up important buttons in the site's content. We also don't like the circular chat image - it's not obvious enough to many people what it's actually for.

As we have fed back a few times.

The new blob and bubble eye catcher just isn't as good as the slab in v6.

So much so, that we won't be renewing our licence for support/updates once it expires and are looking at other products.

Our chat rates have massively dropped since changing to v7 and we get complaints from users that the blob just isn't obvious AND when the eyecatcher is used, it is annoying.

Please consider adding the flat slab option as it was in v6.

Good news, the "classic mode" will be included in LiveZilla 7.0.5.0 coming later this month. :)

Thanks for adding it.

We just need the ability to change the text as before.

One for online and the other for offline. Currently it seems to be static and not ideal.

We discussed this and decided against another setting (at least for now).

You can change the texts using the Translation Editor.

Feel free to provide more details about your specific situation if this does not work for you.

Thanks.

Hi,

We have about 6 different versions we use based on the page they are on.

We cannot use the translation editor as that is just one block of text and isn't what the old feature used to do. As mentioned before, the new blob/eye-catcher just isn't as subtle or intuitive to users.

Any idea when this will be possible please?

Translation editor is not sufficient.

The option to set custom online/offline texts for the Eye-Catcher will in included in LiveZilla 7.0.7.0 coming later this months.

Cheers.
