Suddenly can't login due to "empty.appcache" error

I have had a server running smoothly for almost a week. Today, all of a sudden, for no reason that I can fathom, I am getting this error in my NGINX log:

open() "/var/www/livezilla/mobile/empty.appcache" failed (2: No such file or directory)

Anyone have any idea what this "empty.appcache" is, or why it would suddenly start being a problem?
- I can't login to the LiveZilla Instance from a browser or the desktop client (which is just a wrapper for the web client anyway ... )

Any direction is appreciated.

Just as inexplicably ... the error no longer appears and I can login again

#perplexed

Still would very much like to know what "empty.appcache" is ....
